OUR MISSION IS TO SHELTER, REHABILITATE AND ADOPT STRAY AND UNWANTED DOGS AND CATS OF YANCEY COUNTY INTO PERMANENT LOVING HOMES AND PROVIDE COMPASSIONATE, HUMANE AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES TO IMPROVE ANIMAL WELFARE.

OF OUR MANY PROGRAMS FOR THE COMMUNITY ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL IS OUR SPAY/NEUTER FACILITATION PROGRAM. WE HAVE SPENT OVER $36,000 TO PREVENT THE BIRTHS OF UNWANTED DOGS AND CATS, KEEPING THESE NUMBERS TO A MINIMUM. OUR RABIES CLINICS PROVIDE AN AVENUE TO CONTAIN THE SPREAD OF RABIES TO ANIMALS IN THE COMMUNITY. OUR COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM HELPS TO INFORM, EDUCATE AND PROMOTE THE WELLNESS AND HAPPINESS OF ALL ANIMALS IN OUR COUNTY.
