SHELTER AND CARE - THE VBSPCA PROVIDES ESSENTIAL SHELTER AND CARE TO PREPARE HOMELESS, SUFFERING OR ABANDONED ANIMALS FOR ADOPTION. OVER 300 ANIMALS RECEIVED CARE DAILY; 870 ANIMALS WERE ADOPTED; AND 717 ANIMALS WERE PLACED IN FOSTER CARE. WE ACCEPTED 237 OWNER RELINQUISHMENTS AND MAINTAINED A LIVE RELEASE RATE OF 94%.
CLINIC SERVICES - THE VBSPCA VETERINARY CLINIC STRIVES TO PROVIDE QUALITY VETERINARY CARE TO OUR SHELTER ANIMALS AND TO THE PUBLIC. WE HAD OVER 5,000 PUBLIC CLIENTS. WE PROVIDED SPAY/NEUTER SURGERIES FOR 764 ANIMALS IN THE CLINIC AND 1,716 ON THE NEUTER SCOOTER. WE ADMINISTERED 4,443 VACCINES, PERFORMED 41 DENTALS, AND PERFORMED 114 SPECIALTY SURGERIES.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS - EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS ARE OUTREACH INITIATIVES THAT EDUCATE OUR COMMUNITY, INCLUDING CHILDREN, ABOUT THE VALUE OF THE ANIMAL HUMAN BOND AND THE IMPORTANCE OF COMPASSION IN OUR COMMUNITY. THE PURPOSE OF COMMUNITY OUTREACH IS TO INSPIRE COMPASSIONATE ACTION THROUGH EDUCATION AND AWARENESS WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY.
