TO FUND RESEARCH INTO TARGETED TREATMENTS AND CURES FOR CANCERS AFFECTING CHILDREN WHILE PROVIDING TANGIBLE SUPPORT TO CHILDHOOD CANCER PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES AIMED AT ADDRESSING THEIR CRITICAL AND URGENT NEEDS.


EDUCATION - CURE PROVIDES CRITICAL EDUCATION TO FAMILIES OF CHILDREN DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER, ON TREATMENT, AND IN SURVIVORSHIP. CURE TARGETS ELECTRONIC NEWSLETTERS WITH RELEVANT MATERIAL TO EACH GROUP, ENSURING FAMILIES HAVE THE INFORMATION THEY NEED TO NAVIGATE COMPLEX TREATMENT PROTOCOLS AND KNOW HOW TO MONITOR FOR LATE EFFECTS OF CANCER TREATMENTS, MAINTAINS SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS ON WHICH TO SHARE INFORMATION WITH FAMILIES AND OTHERS, AND PROVIDES ROBUST EDUCATION TO THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE ABOUT THE PROBLEM OF CHILDHOOD CANCER, THE NEED FOR RESEARCH FUNDING, CRITICAL WAYS TO HELP FAMILIES FIGHTING CHILDHOOD CANCER, AND IMPORTANT SCIENTIFIC ADVANCEMENTS IN THE FIELD.


PATIENT AND FAMILY SERVICE SUPPORTING PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES THROUGH (1) EARLY OUTREACH ASSISTING FAMILIES WITH A NEW DIAGNOSIS BY PROVIDING PRACTICAL INFORMATION, ENCOURAGEMENT AND ITEMS THAT WILL BE USEFUL AS THEIR CHILD BEGINS TREATMENT, (2) CRITICAL NEEDS CARE ADDRESSES THE CRITICAL AND URGENT NEEDS OF PATIENTS AND FAMILIES BY PROVIDING EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, INCLUDING TRANSPORTATION AND LODGING ASSISTANCE, PROFESSIONAL COUNSELING TO PATIENTS, PARENTS AND SIBLINGS, MEALS TO HOSPITALIZED CHILDREN AND CAREGIVERS AND CRITICAL BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES WHO HAVE LOST A CHILD TO CANCER
