ANNUAL MEETING - CONDUCTED TO PRESENT SCIENTIFIC AND EDUCATIONAL TOPICS TO MEMBERS AND ATTENDEES AND TO CONDUCT BUSINESS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ORGANIZATION'S BYLAWS
ENDOCRINE UNIVERSITY IS A SCIENTIFICALLY RIGOROUS, CLINICALLY ORIENTED EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM, DESIGNED TO PROVIDE A FORUM FOR ENDOCRINOLOGY FELLOWS-IN-TRAINING TO ENHANCE THEIR ENDOCRINE CURRICULUM, PARTICULARLY IN NEW TECHNOLOGY, WHICH HAS BECOME ESSENTIAL TO THE PRACTICE OF ENDOCRINOLOGY. PARTICIPANTS TAKE PART IN CLINICAL TRAINING AND LABORATORY SESSIONS, AS WELL AS THE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET EXPERTS IN CLINICAL ENDOCRINOLOGY. THE PROGRAM TAKES A CASE-BASED APPROACH TO THE DIAGNOSIS AND MANAGEMENT OF ENDOCRINE-RELATED DISORDERS AND IS SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO HELP PREPARE FELLOWS FOR ENTERING CLINICAL PRACTICE.
SCOPE IS AN EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVE DESIGNED TO PROVIDE THE PRIMARY CARE TEAM WITH THE NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS TO CARE FOR COMMON ENDOCRINE DISORDERS. THE ACTIVITY PREPARES PRIMARY CARE MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS FOR THE CO-MANAGEMENT OF DIABETES, OBESITY, THYROID DISORDERS, DYSLIPIDEMIA, AND OSTEOPOROSIS.
