APPRENTICE AND JOURNEYMAN TRAINING AND RETRAINING FOR CONSTRUCTION TRADES INCLUDING CARPENTERS, HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATORS, AND LABORERS. 161 APPRENTICES WERE ENROLLED IN THE TRAINING PROGRAM DURING THE 2021-2022 FISCAL YEAR.
PRE-APPRENTICE CONSTRUCTION SKILLS TRAINING IN LOW-INCOME AND HIGH-UNEMPLOYMENT SPOKANE NEIGHBORHOODS. SIX 6-WEEK CLASSES WERE INITIATED AND COMPLETED IN THE 2021-2022 FISCAL YEAR. THE CLASSES COMPLETED HAD 45 STUDENTS BEGIN THE CLASS WITH 43 GRADUATING WITH CERTIFICATES OF COMPLETION. 29 OF THE 43 GRADUATES WERE SUCCESSFULLY PLACED WITH AN APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM OR EMPLOYER.
