THE ARC OF HIGH POINT PROMOTES AND PROTECTS THE HUMAN RIGHTS OF PEOPLE WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES AND ACTIVELY SUPPORTS THEIR FULL INCLUSION AND PARTICIPATION IN THE COMMUNITY THROUGHOUT THEIR LIFETIMES.

DIRECT PROGRAMS - TO INCREASE AWARENESS OF DISABILITY RELATED ISSUES, AS WELL AS PROMOTING INCLUSION FOR PEOPLE WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES TO BUSINESS, AGENCIES AND HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS AND TO INDIVIDUALS IN THE COMMUNITY. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES SUPPORT TO TEACHERS AND VOLUNTEERS SUPPORTING INDIVIDUALS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES. OUTREACH IS ACCOMPLISED WITH PUBLIC EDUCATION AND AWARENESS, COMMUNITY TRAINING AND FAMILY SUPPORT.
