THROUGH THE PROVISION OF RESIDENTIAL, EMPLOYMENT, DAY SUPPORT AND EARLY PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION SERVICES, VERSABILITY CURRENTLY ASSISTS 1,500 INDIVIDUALS EACH YEAR.

COMMUNITY LIVING- VERSABILITY RESOURCES PROVIDES RESIDENTIAL SERVICES IN EIGHT HOMES THROUGHOUT HAMPTON, NEWPORT NEWS, AND YORK COUNTY THAT PROVIDE A SAFE, SUPPORTIVE HOME FOR ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES. OUR HOMES ARE UNIQUE IN THAT THEY OFFER A VARIETY OF LEISURE AND RECREATION ACTIVITIES. STAFF DEVELOP MONTHLY ACTIVITY CALENDARS WITH INPUT FROM THE RESIDENTS THAT EMPHASIZES COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AT ITS CORE. WE WORK DIRECTLY WITH PEOPLE SEEKING HOUSING SUPPORT, AGING PARENTS NEEDING ASSISTANCE FOR THEIR CHILDREN, FAMILIES WHO PLAN TO MOVE THEIR LOVES ONES OUT OF AN INSTITUTION, OR THOSE WHO WANT A MORE INDEPENDENT LIVING OPTION NEARBY. CARING STAFF PROVIDES SUPPORT 24/7/365. NURSES AND DIETICIANS ARE AVAILABLE FOR BOTH LONG AND SHORT-TERM HEALTH NEEDS. VERSABILITY IS AN EQUAL HOUSING OPPORTUNITY PROVIDER AND DOES BUSINESS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FAIR HOUSING AMENDMENT. WE ARE LICENSED THROUGH THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH.
DAY SERVICES PROGRAM- VERSABILITY OFFERS A PERSON-CENTERED APPROACH TO ACTIVITIES AND NEW LEARNING EXPERIENCES FOR ADULTS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES. OUR GOAL IS TO HELP PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES REACH THEIR HIGHEST LEVEL OF INDEPENDENCE AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT. THE PEOPLE WE SERVE PARTICIPATE IN A RANGE OF VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES AND PROJECTS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY, AND PARTICIPATE IN LOCAL RECREATIONAL OUTINGS TO PARKS, MUSEUMS, AND EVENTS. EARLY CHILDHOOD- VERSABILITY'S EARLY PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION FOR CHILDREN PROGRAM ASSISTS INFANTS AND TODDLERS WITH DISABILITIES AGES 0 TO 3 YEARS OLD BY TAILORING THERAPY PROGRAMS SO EACH CHILD IS PREPARED FOR SUCCESS IN SCHOOL, WORK, AND LIFE. VERSABILITY SERVICE COORDINATORS ASSES A CHILD'S NEEDS AND COORDINATE TAILOR THERAPY TO ENSURE EACH CHILD REACHES THEIR FULL POTENTIAL.
