THE ARC BALTIMORE'S COMMUNITY LIVING DIVISION ASSISTS NEARLY 200 PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES IN HOMES AND APARTMENTS ACROSS THE BALTIMORE AREA TO HELP THEM BECOME FULL AND ACTIVE MEMBERS OF THEIR CHOSEN COMMUNITIES. SUPPORTS ARE INDIVIDUALLY TAILORED AND PROVIDED ON A PART- OR FULL-TIME BASIS, ACCORDING TO THEIR NEEDS AND PREFERENCES. WE HELP PEOPLE BE AS INDEPENDENT AS POSSIBLE AND ENJOY FRIENDS, FAMILY, HOBBIES, OR WHATEVER INTERESTS THEY MAY HAVE.
THE ARC BALTIMORE'S COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT DIVISION OFFERS JOB DEVELOPMENT SERVICES FOR PEOPLE WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES (IDD) THROUGH PRE-EMPLOYMENT TRANSITION SERVICES, INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES, JOB COACHING, AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SOFT SKILLS NECESSARY TO SECURE MEANINGFUL EMPLOYMENT. THE ARC SUPPORTS 400+ PEOPLE IN EITHER COMPETITIVE INTEGRATED EMPLOYMENT OR ON A SUPERVISED WORK CREW. THE ARC'S DAY SERVICES DIVISION SUPPORTS 300+ PEOPLE WITH IDD AT FOUR DAY SERVICE LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT BALTIMORE CITY AND COUNTY. THE PERSON-CENTERED SERVICES PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROWTH AND COMMUNITY INTEGRATION THROUGH VOLUNTEERING, INTEREST EXPLORATION, AND LEISURE ACTIVITIES WITH FRIENDS.
OUR FAMILY SERVICES DIVISION SUPPORTS HUNDREDS OF FAMILIES THROUGH TREATMENT FOSTER CARE, RESPITE CARE, IN-HOME FAMILY SUPPORT AND TRAINING, LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES, PARENT AND SIBLING SUPPORT GROUPS, SPECIAL EDUCATION ADVOCACY, AND INFORMATION AND REFERRALS.
