THE SIXTH DISTRICT IS A CIVIC AND SERVICE ORGANIZATION OF MINORITY COLLEGE EDUCATED MEN THAT ARE AFFILIATED WITH LOCAL CHAPTERS LOCATED IN THE STATES OF SOUTH AND NORTH CAROLINA. THE SIXTH DISTRICT IS PRIMARILY INVOLVED WITH MENTORING MINORITY YOUNG PEOPLE TO BECOME SUCCESSFUL COLLEGE EDUCATED MINORITY MEN. THE SIXTH DISTRICT IS ACTIVE IN LOCAL, STATE AND NATIONAL CIVIC AND SOCIAL AFFAIRS FOR THE ENHANCEMENT OF THE NATIONAL DISTRICT, AS WELL AS THOSE LOCAL COMMUNITIES IN WHICH THE FRATERNITY OPERATES.

EACH YEAR THE SIXTH DISTRICT HOLDS ITS WEEK-LONG BOYS CAMP FOR BOYS AGES 8-14. EACH CHAPTER IS REQUIRED TO SEND AT LEAST ONE (1) BOY FROM ITS REPSECTIVE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA. THE CAMP IS USUALLY A CULMINATION OF A YEAR-LONG MENTORING PROGRAM FROM EACH AREA. THE CAMP FOCUSES ON MANY ISSUES INCLUDING MENTORING, ANGER MANAGEMENT, CONFLICT RESOLUTION AND HEALTHY LIFESTYLES.
EACH YEAR THE SIXTH DISTRICT AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS TO BOTH FRATERNITY MEMBERS AND CITIZENS IN THE COMMUNITY. IN THE FRATERNITY, THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM PROMOTES ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AMONG THE UNDERGRADUATE MEMBERS. GRADUATE CHAPTERS PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO STUDENT MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS.
THE DISTRICT'S TALENT HUNT PROGRAM PROVIDES EXPOSURE, ENCOURAGEMENT AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO TALENTED YOUNG PEOPLE PARTICPATING IN THE PERFORMING ARTS.
