FELLOWS PROGRAM: THE INSTITUTE PROVIDES TRAINING AND INSTRUCTION TO STUDENTS IN CURRENT POLICY ISSUES, PERSONAL COMMUNICATION AND EFFECTIVE DECISION MAKING IN A CULTURALLY AND PHILOSOPHICALLY DIVERSE POLICTICAL ENVIRONMENT. IN THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2018, THE INSTITUTE GRADUATED TWO FELLOWS CLASSES WITH A TOAL OF 18 GRADUATES
WOMEN ON BOARD: THIS IS A ONE-DAY TRAINING PROGRAM THAT PREPARES WOMEN TO PURSUE PUBLIC SERVICE THROUGH APPOINTMENT ONTO PUBLIC BOARDS. IN THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2017, THE INSTITUTE HELD TWO WOB WORKSHOPS, WITH OVER 50 PARTICIPANTS
THE HOMETOWN DEBATE - A SERIES WHEREBY EACH YEAR, THREE-FOUR SMALLER MARKETS ARE CHOSE TO HOST DEBATES RELATED TO VARIOUS POLITICAL RACES/ISSUES COVERING SMALL TOWN ISSUES AND CONCERNS. PANELISTS ARE CHOSEN BASED ON KNOWLEDGE OF THE TOPIC AND THIER ABILITY TO EXPRESS THEIR VIEWS IN A RESPECTFUL AND COLLEGIAL MANNER.
