SERVICES FOR THE AGING INCLUDE THE ELDERCARE LOCATOR, A NATIONAL CALL CENTER DESIGNED TO HELP OLDER ADULTS AND THEIR CAREGIVERS LOCATE LOCAL AGING SERVICES. SERVICES TO THE AGING NETWORK, INCLUDE CAPACITY BUILDING ON MANAGED LONG-TERM SERVICES AND SUPPORTS AND INTEGRATED HEALTH CARE; MEDICARE ENROLLMENT; TRANSPORTATION AND MOBILITY SUPPORT; BUILDING LIVABLE COMMUNITIES; DEVELOPING BUSINESS ACUMEN; AND ENHANCING VOLUNTEER SERVICES.IN 2023, THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVED $1,599,817 IN DONATED SERVICES FOR SERVICES FOR THE AGING.
ANNUAL CONFERENCE PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY TO DISSEMINATE INFORMATION REGARDING PUBLIC POLICY AND PROGRAMS AFFECTING OLDER ADULTS AND THEIR CAREGIVERS; TO INFORM MEMBERS ABOUT USAGING'S GOALS AND PROGRAMS; TO PROVIDE MEMBERS WITH EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES AND NETWORKING WITH PEERS, PARTNERS, AND BUSINESSES ABOUT PRODUCT OPTIONS AND SERVICES FOR OLDER ADULTS AND PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES; CONDUCTS FIVE CAPACITY BUILDING SURVEYS OF THE AGING NETWORK; AND PRODUCES REPORTS AS WELL AS TWO BUSINESS AND STRATEGIC PLANNING WORKSHOPS.
PUBLIC POLICY - THE PRIMARY FOCUS OF USAGING'S PUBLIC POLICY TEAM IS TO DEVELOP ANNUALLY A SET OF ITS TOP POLICY PRIORITIES THAT GUIDE THE ORGANIZATION'S LEGISLATIVE AND ADMINISTRATIVE ADVOCACY EFFORTS TO SUPPORT THE GROWING NUMBERS OF OLDER AMERICANS AND CAREGIVERS. USAGING'S ANNUAL POLICY PRIORITIES ARE BASED ON OUR MEMBERS' EXPERIENCE IN DIRECTLY SUPPORTING OLDER ADULTS AND CAREGIVERS IN THEIR COMMUNITIES. THE PRIORITIES ARE FOCUSED ON THE ACTIONS THAT THE UNITED STATES' PRESIDENTIAL ADMINISTRATION AND CONGRESS MUST TAKE TO ENSURE THAT ALL AMERICANS CAN AGE WELL.
