THE MISSION OF THE NATIONAL POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATION IS TO IMPROVE THE POSTDOCTORAL EXPERIENCE BY SUPPORTING A CULTURE OF INCLUSIVE CONNECTION. AT THE INDIVIDUAL, ORGANIZATIONAL, AND NATIONAL LEVELS, WE FACILITATE ENHANCED PROFESSIONAL GROWTH, RAISE AWARENESS, AND COLLABORATE WITH STAKEHOLDERS IN THE POSTDOCTORAL COMMUNITY.

NPA ANNUAL CONFERENCE: EACH SPRING THE NPA HOSTS ITS ANNUAL CONFERENCE, WHICH IS THE ONLY NATIONAL EVENT DEDICATED TO THE POSTDOCTORAL COMMUNITY. AT THIS CONFERENCE, MANY TOPICS PERTINENT TO SCIENCE POLICY, DIVERSITY, MENTORING, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, AND THE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH ENTERPRISE ARE DISCUSSED AND DEBATED ON A NATIONAL LEVEL. DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS THE 2021 CONFERENCE WAS VIRTUAL.
MEMBERSHIP SERVICES. AS A MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION, NPA INCURS EXPENSES FOR MANAGING ITS MEMBERSHIP. THESE EXPENSES ARE PROGRAMMATIC IN NATURE, AS PART OF NPA'S EXEMPT PURPOSE IS TO SERVE THE POSTDOCTORAL COMMUNITY.
PUBLICATIONS: THESE COSTS ARE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF WEBSITE CONTENT FOR THE PUBLIC. THEY ALSO SUPPORT THE ASSOCIATION'S NEWSLETTER, E-ALERTS, FACT SHEETS, AND REPORTS.
