CDC/NIOSH SAFETY AND HEALTH RESEARCH IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY - RESEARCH GRANT SPONSORED BY NIOSH TARGETED TO IMPROVE THE SAFETY AND HEALTH OF WORKERS ON CONSTRUCTION SITES. IN EXCESS OF 20 DIFFERENT PROJECTS WERE FUNDED UNDER THIS PROGRAM.
DOL EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATIONNATIONAL RESOURCE CENTER
NIEHS HAZARDOUS MATERIALS WORKER HEALTH AND SAFETY TRAINING - INCLUDES ELEVEN NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION UNIONS INVOLVED IN TRAINING APPROXIMATELY 14,000 MEMBERS ANNUALLY. CPWR AND ITS CONSORTIUM OF BUILDING TRADES UNIONS OFFER A COMPREHENSIVE MENU OF CONSTRUCTION SAFETY AND HEALTH TRAINING PROGRAMS, INCLUDING OSHA 500, 30, AND 10-HOUR PROGRAMS; HAZARDOUS WASTE TRAINING AND REFRESHERS; CONFINED SPACE TRAINING, LEAD AND ASBESTOS TRAINING, OSHA 7600 TRAINING AND OTHERS.
DOE NATIONAL FORMER WORKERS NOTIFICATION & MEDICAL SCREENING PROGRAM - PROVIDED MEDICAL SCREENING SERVICES AT 35 SITES IDENTIFIED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY. THE PROGRAM DIRECTLY CONTACTS WORKERS, OBTAINS SIGNED CONSENTS AND INTERVIEWS PARTICIPANTS. IN 2021, OVER 1,500 SCREENINGS WERE COMPLETED.
