WORKING ON SOCIAL JUSTICE ISSUES AFFECTING LOW INCOME COMMUNITIES. IN KEEPING WITH ITS HISTORY, THE ORGANIZATION SUPPORTED RESIDENTS IN THE LOCAL RURAL COMMUNITY THROUGH ACTIVITIES THAT ENHANCE THE VIABILITY & SUSTAINABILITY OF FAMILIES, FARMERS & ORG. TO OVER 14,000 VISITORS.

FCAB HOSTS & PROVIDES ACTIVITIES THAT SUPPORT LOCAL RESIDENT ON TOPICS RELATED TO ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, DISASTER RELIEF & FAMILY STRENTHENING. IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19, FCAB ADDRESSED FOOD INSECURITY BY PROVIDING OVER 75 TONS OF FRESH FRUITS, VEGETABLES TO OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY. AS FOOD INSECURITIES PERSIST IN OUR COMMUNITY WE CONTINUE TO FARM THE LAND TO ENSURE THAT WE HELP UNDERGIRD THE EFFORTS OF FOOD SECURITY. FCAB PARTNERS WITH LOCAL SCHOOLS TO FACILITATE AND HOST OCCUPATIONAL COURSE OF STUDY FOR DEVELOPMENTALLY CHALLENGED HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. THE CENTER ENGAGES WITH COMMUNITY STUDENTS AROUND ISSUES OF CONCERN PARTICULARLY AS PART OF A CIVIC ENGAGEMENT AND SOCIAL ACTION COURSE. FRANKLINTON CENTER AT BRICKS PROVIDES INTERNET ACCESS TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY RESIDENTS.
FCABS BRICKS MUSEUM AND LIBRARY PROJECT PROVIDES STUDENTS AND COMMUNITY RESIDENTS OF THE SURROUNDING AREAS WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO BETTER UNDERSTAND THEIR OWN RICH COMMUNITY RESOURCES, CULTURE AND HISTORY. THE PROJECT DEMONSTRATES HOW THIS KNOWLEDGE PLAYS A VITAL ROLE IN INDIVIDUAL AND COMMUNITY TRANSFORMATION LEADING TO BETTER EDUCATIONAL OUTCOMES, RACIAL UNDERSTANDING, AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT. THE PROJECT PROVIDES TOURS, STORYTELLING, WORKSHOPS, BOOKS, VIDEOS, EXHIBITS, AND CULTURAL EDUCATION CLASSES AND EVENTS.BRICKS HEALTHY LIFESTYLES PROJECT PROVIDES HEALTH AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY.
