SCVP IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION PROVIDING FREE, CONFIDENTIAL, COMPREHENSIVE, AND TRAUMA-INFORMED SERVICES TO THOSE AFFECTED BY SEXUAL AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. THE PURPOSE OF SCVP IS TO EMPOWER THOSE AFFECTED BY SEXUAL AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE TO FOSTER INDEPENDENCE FOR LIVING SAFE AND PRODUCTIVE LIVES FREE FROM VIOLENCE AND TO CREATE A COMMUNITY THAT STANDS AGAINST DOMESTIC AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE. SCVP EMPOWERS THOSE DISCLOSING SEXUAL AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMIZATION AND SOCIETY BY PROVIDING SUPPORTIVE SERVICES AND SERVING AS AN EXPERT RESOURCE TO SPECIFIC COUNTIES WITHIN SOUTHSIDE VIRGINIA.

OPERATE A SHELTER AND SAFE HAVEN FOR VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT AND THEIR CHILDREN AT NO COST FOR PERIODS RANGING FROM ONE MONTH ONWARD TO ALLOW THE INDIVIDUAL TIME TO BECOME SELF-SUFFICIENT, ESTABLISH HOUSING, GAIN EMPLOYMENT AS NEEDS DICTATE. CASE MANAGERS FOCUS ON EACH INDIVIDUAL WITH COUNSELING, MENTORING, AND LOGISTIC SUPPORT SUCH AS TRANSPORTATION FOR MEDICAL TREATMENTS AND/OR OTHER SERVICES.
