THE SOCIETY FOR AMBULATORY ANESTHESIA (SAMBA) IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT SOCIETY WHOSE MISSION IS TO BE THE LEADER IN PERIOPERATIVE CARE OF THE AMBULATORY SURGICAL PATIENT. IN DOING SO, SAMBA STRIVES TO ADVANCE THE PRACTICE OF AMBULATORY ANESTHESIA IN ALL AMBULATORY VENUES.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS: ANNUAL MEETING - THE SAMBA ANNUAL MEETING PROVIDES A FORUM DEVOTED TO LECTURES, PANELS AND WORKSHOPS; HIGHLIGHTS OF INNOVATIVE AMBULATORY AND OFFICE-BASED PRACTICES; NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES WITH PEERS AND EXPERTS IN THE FIELD; AND EXPOSURE TO RELEVANT PRODUCTS/SERVICES OF INTEREST TO ATTENDEES IN THE EXHIBITS AREA, WITH THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF EDUCATING AND SHARING INFORMATION THAT WILL ENABLE ANESTHESIOLOGY PRACTITIONERS TO PROVIDE THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF AMBULATORY ANESTHESIA SERVICES AND IMPROVE PATIENT OUTCOMES.EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS: OFFICE BASED ANESTHESIA (OBA) MEETING: THE MEETING PROVIDES OPPORTUNITY FOR OPEN DISCUSSIONS WITH OBA PROFESSIONALS THAT EXPLAIN THE STEPS THEY TOOK TO GET WHERE THEY ARE TODAY AND PROVIDE RESOURCES FOR ATTENDEES TO MAKE THEIR OWN OBA PRACTICE A REALITY.EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS: MEDICAL DIRECTORS MEETING: THE MEETING PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY TO EDUCATE AND SHARE INFORMATION TAILORED TO PHYSICIANS, AHPS, MEDICAL DIRECTORS, AND ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF WHO PRACTICE IN AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTERS.CLINICAL PRACTICE GUIDELINES & CONSENSUS STATEMENTS - SAMBA HAS COMMITTEES THAT DEVELOP CLINICAL PRACTICE GUIDELINES AND CONSENSUS STATEMENTS TO ADVANCE THE PRACTICE OF AMBULATORY ANESTHESIA.WEBINARS - THROUGHOUT THE YEAR SAMBA OFFERS COMPLIMENTARY EDUCATIONAL WEBINAR SESSIONS FOR PARTICIPANTS TO HEAR FROM EXPERTS IN THE AMBULATORY ANESTHESIOLOGY FIELD.
