EDUCATION: THE ANNUAL CHEST MEETING AND OTHER CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION ACTIVITIES ARE CONDUCTED TO UPDATE CLINICIANS ON PATIENT CARE STRATEGIES, PREPARE FOR SUBSPECIALTY EXAMINATIONS, ESTABLISH PRACTICE STANDARDS, PREVIEW INVESTIGATIVE RESEARCH AND NEW SCIENCE, AND PROVIDE NETWORKING AND CAREER ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES.
LEADERSHIP, NETWORKS, AND MEMBERSHIP: INTERDISCIPLINARY, FOCUSED-INTEREST GROUPS ARE ESTABLISHED TO PROVIDE THE OPPORTUNITY TO FORM A PROFESSIONAL ALLIANCE WITH OTHER MEMBERS OR GROUPS WHO SHARE SIMILAR EXPERTISE AND CONCERNS RELATIVE TO CLINICAL PRACTICE AND/OR COMMUNITY HEALTH ISSUES.
