RYAN WHITE - THE EFFI BARRY TRAINING INSTITUTE, FUNDED BY THE DC DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, IS DESIGNED TO STRENGTHEN THE CAPACITY OF THE HIV CARE AND PREVENTION WORKFORCE TO OPTIMALLY PLAN, IMPLEMENT, AND SUSTAIN HIGH-IMPACT HIV PREVENTION AND CARE INTERVENTIONS AND STRATEGIES WITHIN CBOS, COMMUNITY PARTNERS AND HEALTHCARE ORGANIZATIONS TO REDUCE HIV INFECTIONS AND HIV-RELATED MORBIDITY, MORTALITY, AND HEALTH DISPARITIES ACROSS THE GREATER WASHINGTON REGIONAL AREA.THE TRAINING INSTITUTE PROVIDES TRAININGS AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO SUPPORT CURRENT AND PROSPECTIVE HAHSTA GRANTEES AND COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS IN BASIC HIV SERVICE COMPETENCIES; ADVANCED SKILLS IN HEALTH CARE SYSTEMS, DATA AND HEALTH INFORMATICS; HIGH-IMPACT PREVENTION PROGRAMS, INCLUDING BIOMEDICAL; AND EMERGING EVIDENCE-BASED OR INFORMED APPROACHES, THROUGH GROUP-LEVEL TRAININGS, COMMUNITY FORUMS, AND INDIVIDUAL CONSULTATION.
E-LEARNING - HEALTHHIV'S NATIONAL HIV E-LEARNING TRAINING CENTER IS FUNDED BY THE CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL AND PREVENTION'S (CDC) TO SUPPORT THE CAPACITY BUILDING PROVIDER NETWORK. THE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO SUPPORT THE FEDERAL INITIATIVE, ENDING THE HIV EPIDEMIC IN THE US, BY STRENGTHENING THE CAPACITY AND IMPROVING THE NATION'S HIV PREVENTION WORKFORCE. LEVERAGING ITS CBA EXPERTISE FOR COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS, HEALTH DEPARTMENTS, AND HEALTHCARE ORGANIZATIONS TO DESIGN E-LEARNING COURSES, HEALTHHIV'S NATIONAL HIV E-LEARNING TRAINING CENTER DEVELOPS AND IMPLEMENTS A NATIONAL E-LEARNING TRAINING PROGRAM TO BUILD THE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES OF HIV PREVENTION STAFF WORKING IN HIGH-IMPACT HIV PREVENTION (HIP) PROGRAMS ACROSS THE U.S. THE CENTER OFFERS ACCESSIBLE, SECTION 508-COMPLIANT SERVICES AND MATERIALS VIA ASYNCHRONOUS LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES (SELF-PACED E-LEARNING, INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEOS, ONLINE RESOURCES), AND BLENDED LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES (COMBINING SYNCHRONOUS AND ASYNCHRONOUS MODALITIES).
