COMMUNITY TRANSFORMATION INITIATIVE OUR COMMUNITY TRANSFORMATION INITIATIVE (CTI) IN PARTNERSHIP WITH TWO GENEROUS CONTRIBUTORS SERVES 25 CHURCHES AND FAITH-BASED NON-PROFITS IN THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, MARYLAND, AND VIRGINIA. THROUGH THE MINISTRIES OF THESE 25 STRATEGIC PARTNERS, WE HAVE DISTRIBUTED 325 PALLETS OF CLOTHING, COVID 19 SUPPLIES, HOUSEHOLD GOODS, DIAPERS, FORMULA, TOYS, AND PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS TO AREA FAMILIES IN NEED. THE CTI ALSO SERVES TWELVE (12) TITLE I SCHOOLS. AS AREA SCHOOLS RESUMED THE ARDUOUS TASK OF IN PERSON LEARNING WE WERE BLESSED TO PROVIDE OVER 1,000 FACE MASKS, 79,740 (8 OZ.) BOTTLES OF HAND SANITIZER AND 2,250 PACKAGES OF LYSOL WIPES. WE ALSO DONATED ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPLIES, FURNISHINGS, REFRIGERATORS AND SELF-CARE GIFTS FOR TEACHERS AND STAFF.
EDUCATION INITIATIVES OVER FORTY (40) CONGREGANTS OF OUR MEMBER CHURCHES BENEFITED FROM 25% TUITION DISCOUNTS THROUGH OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THREE WORLD CLASS HIGHER EDUCATION PARTNERS. SEVERAL STUDENTS COMPLETED THEIR DEGREES IN 2021 IN SPITE OF THE CHALLENGES OF THE PANDEMIC.
MINISTRY RENEWAL FORUMS PROJECT BRIDGES HOSTED A MINISTRY RENEWAL FORUM ENTITLED "A LOOK AT HEALTH AND SAFETY AS WE RETURN TO IN PERSON MINISTRY." OUR MINISTRY RENEWAL FORUMS ARE DESIGNED TO ADDRESS PERTINENT MINISTRY ISSUES AND TO PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY TO OBTAIN STRATEGIC INFORMATIONAL UPDATES WITH GOVERNMENTAL, COMMUNITY AND FAITH-BASED LEADERS. THIS FORUM FEATURED A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND RECEIVED RAVE REVIEWS FROM PARTICIPANTS.
