WATER QUALITY MONITORING - MONITORED 51 STATIONS EVERY WEEK FROM APRIL-OCTOBER WITH THE HELP OF 59 VOLUNTEERS. DATA COLLECTED INCLUDE, PH, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, SALINITY, AND CLARITY. INFORMATION IS USED TO PRODUCE A STATE OF THE SEVERN REPORT CARD ANNUALLY.
FLOATING CLASSROOM FOR CHILDREN GRADES 4 TO 10 TO RECEIVE ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION. THEY PERFORM WATER QUALITY TESTING, LEARN ABOUT SUBMERGED AQUATIC VEGETATION, DEAD ZONES, OYSTERS, AND HOW HUMAN BEHAVIOR EFFECTS THE WATERSHED.
SHORELINE RESTORATION PARTNERED WITH ARUNDEL RIVERS FEDERATION TO SOLVE STORMWATER RUNOFF ISSUES PLAGUING LAKE MARION. WORKED WITH USNA AND PROVIDENCE COVE COMMUNITY STREAM AND SHORELINE RESTORATION AND FUNDED A LIVING SHORELINE FOR WEST SEVERNA PARK.
