WATER QUALITY MONITORING - MONITORED 51 STATIONS EVERY WEEK FROM APRIL-OCTOBER WITH THE HELP OF 59 VOLUNTEERS. DATA COLLECTED INCLUDE, PH, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, SALINITY, AND CLARITY. INFORMATION IS USED TO PRODUCE A STATE OF THE SEVERN REPORT CARD ANNUALLY.
FLOATING CLASSROOM FOR CHILDREN GRADES 4 TO 10 TO RECEIVE ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION. THEY PERFORM WATER QUALITY TESTING, LEARN ABOUT SUBMERGED AQUATIC VEGETATION, DEAD ZONES, OYSTERS, AND HOW HUMAN BEHAVIOR EFFECTS THE WATERSHED.
BEGIN THE DESIGN PHASE OF A RESTORATION PROJECT IN THE COMMUNITY OF WARDOUR CONDUCTED SITE VISITS TO ASSESS NEED FOR RESTORATION PROJECTS PLANTED 40 MILLION OYSTERS ON RESTORATION REEFS OPERATED MARYLANDERS GROW OYSTERS PROGRAM ON THE SEVERN RIVER AND DEVELOPED A PROTOCOL AND EXECUTED OYSTER RESTORATION REEF RESEARCH SCUBA DIVES.
