THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES TRANSITIONAL HOUSING AND CASE MANAGEMENT TO HOMELESS VETERANS IN MARYLAND, SOUTH CAROLINA, AND WASHINGTON DC. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES COST-EFFECTIVE HEALTHCARE EDUCATION AND FULL SERVICE MEETING PLANNING SERVICES FOR LOCAL AND NATIONAL EVENTS OF ANY SIZE.

EDUCATION PROGRAM & CONFERENCES - WE PROVIDED 16 LOCAL ACCREDITED CLINICAL AND DENTAL PROGRAMS TO OVER 714 COMMUNITY AND VETERANS ADMINISTRATION HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS. WE PROVIDED OR SUPPORTED OVER 5 REGIONAL AND NATIONAL PROGRAMS AND CONFERENCES, WITH 2,152 VIRTUAL ATTENDEES.
TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR HOMELESS VETERANS - CHARLESTON, SCOUR PROGRAMS IN SC CURRENTLY OPERATE 35 BEDS WHICH ARE SUPPORTED BY THE VETERANS ADMINISTARTION GRANT & PER DIEM PROGRAM. WE ARE THE LARGEST PROVIDER OF TRANSITIONAL HOUSING TO HOMELESS VETERANS IN THE STATE. WE ARE THE ONLY PROGRAM IN THE STATE THAT OFFERS SERVICES TO FAMILIES AND FEMALE VETERANS AND THEIR CHILDREN, AS WELL AS TRANSGENDER VETERANS. THE GOAL OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO HELP EACH VETERAN ACHIEVE INDEPENDENT LIVING IN THE COMMUNITY. WE MAINTAINED AN AVERAGE OCCUPANCY OF 85% AND PROVIDED OVER 12,000 BED DAYS IN 2021 TO VETERANS IN NEED.
TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR HOMELESS VETERANS - PERRY POINT, MDOUR PROGRAM IN MARYLAND CURRENTLY OPERATES 29 BEDS WHICH ARE SUPPORTED BY THE VETERANS ADMINISTRATION GRANT & PER DIEM PROGRAM. THIS PROGRAM HAS CONSISTENTLY ACHIEVED RESULTS ABOVE THE NATIONAL AVERAGES FOR GOALS IDENTIFIED BY THE VA GRANT AND PER DIEM PROGRAM. WE MAINTAINED AN AVERAGE OCCUPANCY OF 50% AND PROVIDED OVER 5,293 BED DAYS OF SUPPORTIVE CARE IN 2021.
PERMANENT HOUSING WITH A VETERAN PREFERENCE WAS INITIATED IN WASHINGTON, DC, DURING THE LAST QUARTER OF 2021. THIS EFFORT WAS MADE POSSIBLE WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP, COMMUNITY SOLUTIONS, JAYDOT AND THE KAISER PERMANENTE FOUNDATION. THE PROGRAM BEGAN IT'S TRANSITION TO PERMANENT HOUSING AND WILL HAVE THE ABILITY TO PROVIDE 7 PERMANENT HOUSING APARTMENTS WHEN THE RENOVATIONS AND INSPECTIONS ARE COMPLETE. THESE EFFORTS HAVE BEEN UNDERWAY SINCE SEPTEMBER 16, 2021 WHEN CHEP ENDED ITS TRANISTIONAL HOUISNG PROGRAM.
