THE MISSION OF THE NATIONAL COMMUNITY ACTION PARTNERSHIP IS TO ENSURE THE CAUSES AND CONDITIONS OF POVERTY ARE EFFECTIVELY ADDRESSED AND TO STRENGTHEN, PROMOTE, REPRESENT, AND SERVE THE COMMUNITY ACTION NETWORK.

TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE: THE TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE DEPARTMENT BUILDS COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY CAPACITY TO ADDRESS THE CAUSES AND CONDITIONS OF POVERTY AND STRENGTHEN ORGANIZATIONAL CAPACITY AND EFFICIENCIES. THE TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IS FUNDED THROUGH COOPERATIVE AGREEMENTS FUNDED BY THE US DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES, OFFICE OF COMMUNITY SERVICES, DIVISION OF COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE. ADDITIONALLY, THESE EFFORTS ARE FUNDED BY PRIVATE FOUNDATION GRANTS. CURRENT TTA INITIATIVES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: - THE LEARNING COMMUNITIES RESOURCE CENTER (LCRC)- CSBG CENTER OF EXCELLENCE (COE)- PATHWAYS TO EXCELLENCE- WHOLE FAMILY APPROACH INITIATIVES- SNAP E&T- TRANSFORMING LEADERSHIP AND THE HUMAN SERVICES ECOSYSTEM INITIATIVE
ANNUAL CONVENTION: THE ANNUAL MEETING (BUSINESS MEETING) OF THE MEMBERSHIP IS CONVENED DURING THIS CONVENTION. THIS 5-DAY CONVENTION INCLUDED A GENERAL OPENING SESSION AND A GENERAL CLOSING SESSION. THE MEMBERS ATTENDED TRAININGS COVERING PROMISING ANTI-POVERTY PRACTICES, ADVANCING EQUITY, ENERGY AND WEATHERIZATION, AGENCY GOVERNANCE, HEAD START/EDUCATION, HOUSING, LEADERSHIP, COMMUNITY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, JOB CREATION, MANAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT, AND RISK MANAGEMENT.
CERTIFIED COMMUNITY ACTION PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM: AN ASSOCIATION-SPONSORED, INDEPENDENTLY GOVERNED PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION PROCESS FOR INDIVIDUALS EMPLOYED IN THE WORK OF COMMUNITY ACTION AT LOCAL, STATE, AND NATIONAL LEVELS. CCAP IS THE PREMIER PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION AND RECOGNITION PROGRAM DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR AMERICA'S POVERTY-FIGHTING NETWORK.
