TO ALLEVIATE POVERTY, IMPROVE AWARENESS OF THE NEEDS OF LOW AND MODERATE INCOME RESIDENTS, AND MAXIMIZE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR RESIDENTS AND IMPOVERISHED INDIVIDUALS THROUGHOUT PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY MARYLAND.

HOMELESS SHELTER-THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES EMERGENCY, HOMELESS SHELTER, AND SERVICES FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN. THE SHEPHERD'S COVE HOMELESS SHELTER FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MARYLAND SERVES APPROXIMATELY 600 TO 700 INDIVIDUALS EVERY YEAR. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES SUPPORTIVE SERVICES TO STABILIZE FAMILIES.


HOUSING SERVICES-THIS PROGRAM IS A HOUSING URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) CERTIFIED BI-LINGUAL HOUSING COUNSELING PROGRAM. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES HOMEOWNERS WITH ALTERNATIVES TO HELP THEM PREVENT FORECLOSURE, THROUGH EDUCATING THEM ON UNDERSTANDING THE IMPORTANCE OF TIMELY PAYMENTS. THEY HELP BORROWERS UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF TIMELY MORTGAGE PAYMENTS AND TO RECOGNIZE THE WARNING SIGNS OF MORTGAGE DELINQUENCY. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES MORTGAGE MODIFICATION WHILE OFFERING COUNSELING IN BOTH GROUPS AND ONE- ONE-ONE SESSIONS. THE FIRST TIME HOMEBUYERS PROGRAM ASSISTS WITH THE PREPARATION OF BUYING AND MAINTAINING A HOME. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES WEALTH BUILDING INSTRUCTION IN BUDGETING, CREDIT, AND FINANCIAL PLANNING AS WELL AS INFORMATION ON LENDERS, MORTGAGE AFFORDABILITY, AND TYPES OF FINANCING.


SUPPORTIVE HOUSING-THIS PROGRAM TRANSITIONS FORMERLY HOMELESS CLIENTS INTO PERMANENT HOUSING.


EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRY SERVICES-THE ORGANIZATION OPERATES ON EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRY PROVIDING BASIC HEALTHY FOOD OPTIONS TO RESIDENTS OF PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY MARYLAND. FAMILY STABILIZATION-ASSISTS FORMERLY HOMELESS FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS BY PROVIDING LONG-TERM CASE MANAGEMENT ACCESS TO ENSURE LINKAGES TO RESOURCES AND SERVICES TO SUSTAIN THEIR STABILITY. NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM-THROUGH THE ACQUISITION, REHABILITATION, AND RESALE OF FORECLOSED, ABANDONED, AND VACANT HOMES, THE PROGRAM INCREASES HOMEOWNERSHIP IN LOW-INCOME AREAS AND REMOVES BLIGHTING INFLUENCES AND VACANT STRUCTURES. SENIOR SERVICES-PROVIDES SAFETY NET, SOCIAL AND REHABILITATIVE PROGRAMMING FOR LOW-INCOME SENIORS.
