1ST EXEMPT PURPOSE ACCOMPLISHMENT: MISSIONARY OUTREACH: SUPPORT STRUCTURE FOR RECEIVING VOLUNTEER TEAMS IN GUATEMALA. PROJECT EXPENSES ARE INCURRED FOR MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES TO HAVE ON SITE WHEN THE TEAMS ARRIVE. TEAM EXPENSES ARE INCURRED TO PROVIDE THE TEAMS TRANSPORTATION, HOUSING, AND FOOD. GRANTS MAY BE MADE FOR SPECIAL SERVICE PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN BY VISITING TEAMS.
2ND EXEMPT PURPOSE ACCOMPLISHMENT: HAND UP MINISTRY HAND-UP MINISTRY-GUATEMALA- PROVIDES PRIMARY SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS, MEDICAL CARE, HOMES, STOVES, AND ANIMALS TO NEEDY FAMILIES.
3RD EXEMPT PURPOSE ACCOMPLISHMENT: PARTNER SUPPORT FTEI BIBLE INSTITUTE-TRAINS AND EDUCATES GUATEMALAN PASTORS AND CHURCH LEADERS IN THEOLOGY, MUSIC, AND BASIC SCHOOLING (GED EQUIVALENT). VISION-PLUS- PROVIDES OPTOMETRIC SERVICES AND CATARACT SURGERIES ON A FREE OR REDUCED-COST BASIS. SERVICES ARE NOT OTHERWISE AVAILABLE WITHIN THE COMMUNITY. CATARACT AND PTERYGIUM SURGERIES WERE PROVIDED, PATIENTS WERE SEEN MONTHLY AT THE CLINIC IN THE TOWN OF COMITANCILLO, GUATEMALA AND ADDITIONAL PATIENTS WERE SEEN DURING CLINICS IN MORE REMOTE AREAS WHERE EYE CARE IS NOT AVAILABLE. LAMP LITERACY MINISTRY- TRAINS PEOPLE TO READ AND WRITE IN THEIR FIRST LANGUAGE, THE MAYAN DIALECT OF MAM. LITERACY CLASSES WERE TAUGHT, LITERACY LESSON BOOKS WERE DISTRIBUTED, AND EVANGELICAL BOOKS WERE SUBMITTED FOR PRINTING.
