THE PURPOSE OF THE KEARNY COUNTY COUNCIL ON AGING SHALL BE TO DETERMINE THE NEEDS OF ALL ELDERLY CITIZENS OF KEARNY COUNTY, KANSAS, AND ASSIST IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR SATISFYING THOSE NEEDS ON A PRIORITY BASIS AND FOR AFFIRMATIVELY CHANGING THOSE CONDITIONS WHICH EITHER DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY POSE SIGNIFICANT BARRIERS TO THOSE OLDER PEOPLE WHO DESIRE TO PARTICIPATE IN A FULL AND MEANINGFUL WAY OF COMMUNITY LIFE.

RECREATION PROGRAM: DANCES, PARTIES, TOURS AND CENTER ACTIVITIES.


EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM: MEETING EXPENSE, TOPICAL LECTURES, CONFERENCES AND WORKSHOP PARTICIPATION, TOURS, CONCERTS


NUTRITIONAL PROGRAM: PURCHASE GROCERIES AND OTHER SUPPLIES INCLUDING FOOD CONTAINERS FOR MEALS ON WHEELS AND MEALS AT THE SITE.


TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM: GAS AND OIL, REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE, TIRES AND INSURANCE FOR THREE BUSES.
