TO PROMOTE INDEPENDENCE FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES THROUGH INNOVATIVE LEARNING EXPERIENCES THAT SUPPORT THE INDIVIDUAL'S CHOICE FOR WORKING, LIVING, AND PLAYING IN THEIR COMMUNITY.

KETCH PROVIDES A FULL RANGE OF DAY SERVICES THAT CAN ACCOMMODATE ALL PROGRAMMING NEEDS FOR ALL LEVELS OF DISABILITIES. KETCH OFFERS SEVERAL VOCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ADULTS WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES AND OTHER DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES. SHELTERED EMPLOYMENT WAS PROVIDED FOR 86 PERSONS. KETCH ALSO PROVIDED COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT SERVICES FOR 11 PERSONS. IN ADDITION KETCH PROVIDED PROGRAMS THAT OFFER A VARIETY OF LIFE EXPERIENCES INCLUDING LEISURE, SOCIAL SENSORY RELAXATION, CULTURAL, RECREATION, HEALTH, ENTERTAINMENT, COMMUNICATION, AND EDUCATIONAL AND VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES. THIS IS REALIZED THROUGH THE FOLLOWING: ADULT LIFE SKILLS WHICH IS DESIGNED FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES WHO CANNOT PHYSICALLY TOLERATE A FULL-TIME VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM. PACE OR PROGRAM FOR ADAPTIVE CARE AND ENVIRONMENT IS DEVELOPED TO MEET THE UNIQUE NEEDS OF PERSONS WITH AUTISM, AND DESIGNED TO HELP REDUCE ANXIETY AND STRESS FROM DAILY DISTRACTIONS AND HIGH LEVELS OF SENSORY STIMULATION. COMMUNITY INCLUSION IS A NON-TRADITIONAL ALTERNATIVE CENTERED ON EDUCATIONAL, LEISURE, CULTURAL, ENTERTAINMENT, VOLUNTEERISM, EMPLOYMENT, AND RECREATIONAL AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES. ADULT LIFE SKILLS/PACE/COMMUNITY INCLUSION WAS PROVIDED FOR 82 PERSONS. IN ADDITION, OSAGE IS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE A COMMUNITY INTEGRATED DAY ACTIVITY PROGRAM CENTERED AROUND COMMUNITY OUTINGS, STRUCTURED EDUCATIONAL, SOCIAL AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES, AND COMMUNITY SERVICE FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES AND PERSONS 50+ YEARS OLD WHO WISH TO RETIRE EITHER PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME. OSAGE WAS PROVIDED FOR 45 PERSONS.


SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES: KETCH PROVIDED RESIDENTIAL CARE FOR 143 PERSONS. SUPPORT FOR TRAINING AND SUPERVISION IS PROVIDED IN THE HOME SETTING BASED ON AN INDIVIDUAL'S SPECIFIC NEEDS. TRAINING IS FOCUSED ON LEARNING NEW SKILLS TO HELP INDIVIDUALS LIVE AND WORK IN THE COMMUNITY.
