EMPHASIS IS ON GIVING EACH INDIVIDUAL ONLY AS MUCH SERVICE AS IS NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN AS INDEPENDENT A LIFESTYLE AS POSSIBLE. TEACHING AND SUPPORTS ARE DIRECTED TOWARD ACHIEVING INDIVIDUAL PREFERENCES IN SKILLS SUCH AS FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT, HEALTH AND SAFETY, PERSONAL GROWTH, COMMUNITY LIVING AND COMMUNCIATION. ENVIRONMENTS CAN RANGE FROM LIMITED SUPERVISION/SUPPORT TO FULL-TIME ASSISTANCE.
