THE FOUNDATION IS COMMITTED TO SUPPORTING WORKING PROFESSIONAL NURSES THROUGH MENTORING, EDUCATIONAL ADVANCEMENT, AND PROMOTING RESEARCH AND EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICE TO DRIVE EXCELLENCE IN CARE DELIVERY. THE FOUNDATION ESTABLISHED SEVERAL CENTERS TO BENEFIT THE NURSINGCOMMUNITY. THOSE CENTERS INCLUDE THE BELLEVUE ALUMNAE CENTER FOR HISTORY, CATHERINE A. WELCH CENTER FOR NURSING RESEARCH, ST. LUKE'S HOSPITAL SCHOOL OF NURSING ALUMNAE CENTER FOR PUBLIC EDUCATION, AND THE FUTURE FOR NURSING NEW YORK STATE ACTION COALITION. THE FOUNDATION ALSOMANAGES TWO FUNDS, WHICH PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS TO REGISTERED NURSES SEEKING EDUCATOR POSITIONS AND RESEARCH GRANTS WITH AN EMPHASIS ON GERIATRIC NURSING.
