THE WALK-IN CHOICE PANTRY PROVIDED FOOD PRODUCTS, PERSONAL CARE, AND HOME CARE PRODUCTS DURING 2021. DUE TO COVID AND THE "NO-CONTACT" MANDATE BY TEFAP, THE WALK-IN CHOICE FOOD PANTRY WAS CONVERTED TO A DRIVE-THRU VENUE IN MARCH 2020. HOUSEHOLDS ARE ALLOWED TO VISIT THE PANTRY TWICE PER MONTH, HOWEVER, THE SECOND VISIT WAS LIMITED TO DRY GOODS AND FROZEN GOODS ONLY. THE ORGANIZATION RECORDED 3,988 HOUSEHOLD VISITS DURING 2021. CLIENT VISITS TOTALED 10,090. IN TOTAL, 504,568 POUNDS OF FOOD WAS DISPERSED OUT OF THE PANTRY DURING 2021 TO HOUSEHOLDS AND KIDS IN NEED OF FOOD.
THE FOOD FOR THOUGHT PROGRAM PROVIDED 23,851 WEEKEND BAGS OF FOOD TO THE GRADE SCHOOLS AND MIDDLE SCHOOLS. THE PROGRAM NORMALLY RUNS DURING SCHOOL SESSIONS. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED SOME FOOD SUPPORT TO THE NFDL WEEKEND PROGRAM WHICH SERVED 4,385 WEEKEND BAGS OF FOOD DURING 2021.
