SERVING OUR REGION BY PROVIDING A SAFE AND ATTRACTIVE ENVIRONMENT IN ORDER TO FOSTER COMMUNITY, PRIDE, GROWTH AND INVOLVEMENT.

Part 3 - Line 4a

COMMUNITY CENTER & PROGRAMS: PROVIDE TO THE COMMUNITIES OF LEIPSIC, PUTNAM AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES WELLNESS PROGRAMS, FITNESS CLASSES AND ART CLASSES TO PEOPLE OF ALL AGES. IN ADDITION, THE CENTER PROVIDES COMMUNITY SPACE FOR AN ATHLETIC GYM, ELEVATED WALKING TRACK, MEETING ROOMS, A YOUTH CENTER, AND COMMUNITY KITCHEN. THE YOUTH ROOM PROVIDES A SAFE PLACE FOR YOUTH IN GRADES 6-12 TO HANG OUT WITH FRIENDS OR WORK ON HOMEWORK. ONE OF THE MEETING ROOMS IS A COMPUTER LAB THAT ALLOWS COMMUNITY MEMBERS WITHOUT COMPUTERS TO SEARCH FOR JOBS, WRITE A RESUME AND WORK ON HOMEWORK. THE COMMUNITY KITCHEN PROVIDES MEALS FOR THE COMMUNITY AND COOKING CLASSES TO THE COMMUNITY.

FREE COMMUNITY HEALTH CLINIC & PHARMACY: PERIODICALLY, THE COMMUNITY CENTER WILL BE OPEN TO PROVIDE FREE MEDICAL CARE AND A PHARMACY TO THE UNDER/UNINSURED RESIDENTS OF LEIPSIC, PUTNAM AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES. THE MEDICAL SERVICES AVAILABLE ARE FOR SORE THROAT, CONGESTION, FEVER, EAR PAIN, SINUS PAIN, COUGH FLU SYMPTOMS, GI SYMPTOMS AND OTHER NON-CHRONIC ILLNESSES.
