Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
PATIENT CARE: RADIANT HEALTH WAS BLESSED WITH ANOTHER YEAR OF INCREDIBLE GROWTH. DURING FISCAL YEAR 23/24, THE CLINIC HAD OVER 3,500 PATIENT APPOINTMENTS AND PROCEDURES. THIS REPRESENTS A 13% INCREASE OVER THE PREVIOUS YEAR. MUCH OF THIS GROWTH WAS ATTRIBUTED TO THE FACT THAT WE HAD A SECOND PHYSICIAN ON STAFF FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR. BETWEEN THE TWO PHYSICIANS, RADIANT HEALTH ALSO WELCOMED 238 NEW PATIENTS. RHNMC CONTINUED ITS FOCUS ON EMPOWERING AND EQUIPPING THE NEXT GENERATION OF NATUROPATHIC PHYSICIANS AND PROVIDERS. IN JANUARY, WE ONBOARDED A NURSE PRACTITIONER AND ENHANCED HER SKILLS WITH TRAINING ON NATUROPATHIC TREATMENTS. THIS WAS SUCH A SUCCESS THAT WE HIRED A SECOND NURSE PRACTITIONER IN JUNE OF 2024. FURTHERMORE, WE INTERNED A STUDENT IN HER FINAL YEAR OF NATUROPATHIC MEDICAL SCHOOL. THAT PROVED TO BE ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL PARTNERSHIP, AND RH EXTENDED AN OFFER FOR HER TO BE A PRECEPTOR IN AUGUST OF 2024 AND THEN TRANSITION TO A RESIDENT PHYSICIAN IN THE FALL. THE CLINIC CONTINUED TO OFFER DIAGNOSTIC AND THERAPEUTIC MODALITIES SUCH AS CLINICAL AND LABORATORY DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, NUTRITIONAL MEDICINE, BOTANICAL MEDICINE, NATUROPATHIC PHYSICAL MEDICINE, PUBLIC HEALTH MEASURES, HYGIENE, COUNSELING, HOMEOPATHY, ACUPUNCTURE, PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION, AND OTHER PROCEDURES. FINALLY, RADIANT HEALTH WAS BLESSED WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO EXPAND THE IMPACT OF OUR CHARITY CARE PROGRAM. DURING FISCAL YEAR 23/24, THE CLINIC HAD 188 CHARITY CARE APPOINTMENTS, WHICH REPRESENTS A 298% INCREASE FROM THE PREVIOUS FISCAL YEAR. OUR PATIENTS ARE FACING MANY HARDSHIPS ? SEVERAL ARE STRUGGLING WITH AN ILLNESS, SOME ARE EXPERIENCING RELATIONSHIP STRIFE, AND OTHERS ARE ENDURING A TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE. OFTENTIMES, THOSE STRUGGLES ARE ACCOMPANIED BY FINANCIAL STRESS AND THE RESULT IS THAT THEIR HEALTH DETERIORATES. WE ARE INTENTLY FOCUSED ON GROWING OUR CHARITY CARE PROGRAM SO THAT WE CAN HELP PATIENTS WHO NEED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE BE ABLE TO ACCESS OUR SERVICES.
MEMBERSHIP: RADIANT HEALTH?S GOALS FAR EXCEED SIMPLY PROVIDING QUALITY HEALTHCARE TO ITS PATIENTS. DURING THE 23/24 FISCAL YEAR, WE CONTINUED TO DEVELOP AND MATURE A COMMUNITY OF PEOPLE WHO ARE INTERESTED AND ACTIVE IN THEIR OWN HEALTH JOURNEY. TO ACHIEVE OUR LONG-TERM OBJECTIVES, WE WORKED TO EXPAND, EDUCATE, ENVISION, AND EMPOWER OUR MEMBERS. AS OF JUNE 30, 2024, RHNMC HAD 167 ACTIVE MEMBERS. ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE YEAR WAS HOSTING THE SECOND ANNUAL RADIANT HEALTH TEA PARTY. TAKING AND APPLYING THE LESSONS FROM YEAR ONE, THE SECOND ANNUAL TEA PARTY WAS MORE SUCCESSFUL THAN WE COULD HAVE IMAGINED. WE HAD 80 PEOPLE IN ATTENDANCE, 7 TABLE SPONSORS, AND RAISED A TOTAL OF $15,280 FOR OUR CHARITY CARE PROGRAM. RHNMC CONTINUES TO RELY ON VOLUNTEERS TO SUPPORT THE CLINIC. VOLUNTEERS PLAYED A CRITICAL ROLE IN HELPING WITH OUR OPERATIONS, SPECIFICALLY, THEY ASSISTED WITH BOOKKEEPING, CUSTODIAL AND FACILITIES HELP, PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTING OUR TEA PARTY, AND OVERSIGHT ON OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS. THE RADIANT HEALTH VOLUNTEERS PROVIDED OVER 1575 HOURS OF SERVICE FOR AN AVERAGE OF MORE THAN 30 HOURS PER WEEK.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH: IN OCTOBER OF 2023, RADIANT HEALTH WAS NOTIFIED BY THE GILBERT AWARD PROGRAM THAT THEY WERE SELECTED AS THE WINNER OF THE ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE PRACTITIONER. THE GILBERT AWARD PROGRAM WAS ESTABLISHED TO RECOGNIZE THE BEST LOCAL BUSINESSES IN OUR COMMUNITY. RECOGNITION IS GIVEN TO THOSE COMPANIES THAT HAVE SHOWN THE ABILITY TO USE THEIR BEST PRACTICES AND IMPLEMENTED PROGRAMS TO GENERATE COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES AND LONG-TERM VALUE. BEING RECOGNIZED IN THIS MANNER WAS AN INDICATOR THAT THE EFFORT AND ATTENTION WE PLACE ON PROVIDING OUR PATIENTS WITH THE BEST CARE AVAILABLE, WHILE ALSO FOCUSING ON OUR BROADER COMMUNITY, HAS NOT GONE UNNOTICED. THIS PAST FISCAL YEAR, RADIANT HEALTH?S COMMUNITY OUTREACH INCLUDED SEVERAL DIFFERENT ENDEAVORS. THE CLINIC AGAIN SERVED AS A COLLECTION SITE FOR FOOD AND SUPPLIES FOR CITY HOPE, AND OUR PRIMARY PHYSICIAN CONTINUED TO SERVE AS A SWIM AND SOCCER COACH FOR THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS. RADIANT HEALTH ALSO EXPANDED OUR INCLUSION EFFORTS BY BRINGING ON ANOTHER SPECIAL NEEDS VOLUNTEER WORKER. BLAKE, A 22-YEAR-OLD WITH DOWN SYNDROME, AND TUCKER, A 23-YEAR-OLD WITH AUTISM, WERE PROVIDED WORK EXPERIENCE AT RADIANT HEALTH. WORKING A COUPLE OF SHIFTS EACH WEEK, TOGETHER THEY HELPED THE CLINIC BY ORGANIZING, CLEANING, AND ASSISTING WITH OTHER MISCELLANEOUS TASKS. FINALLY, RADIANT HEALTH ALSO SUPPORTED SHADE TREE ACADEMY TO HELP THEM MEET THEIR MISSION OF PROVIDING TRAUMA-FOCUSED EDUCATION TO CHILDREN IMPACTED BY FOSTER CARE.
