FRIENDS OF SJF, INC. EXISTS TO SUPPORT ST. JOSEPH FAMILY MISSION AND OTHER RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATIONS IN HAITI BY RAISING FUNDS AND PROVIDING FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR ST. JOSEPH FAMILY MISSION AND OTHER RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATIONS IN HAITI THAT ARE ENGAGED IN COMBATING THE SYSTEMIC ISSUES OF POVERTY, DISABILITY AND NEGLECT. THE PROGRAMS OF ST. JOSEPH FAMILY MISSION INCLUDE PROVIDING SAFE HOUSING, MENTORSHIP AND EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES FOR HOMELESS AND DISABLED CHILDREN IN HAITI. IN ADDITION ST. JOSEPH FAMILY MISSION HAS ESTABLISHED A MICRO-LENDING PROGRAM FOR DISADVANTAGED HAITIAN WOMEN. FRIENDS OF SJF, INC. IN COOPERATION WITH ST. JOSEPH FAMILY MISSION HAS ALSO STARTED THE "WINGS OF HOPE CHILD SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM". INDIVIDUALS ARE ENCOURAGE TO COMMIT TO MAKE ANNUAL CONTRIBUTIONS OF $360 WHICH WILL BE USED TO HELP PROVIDE FOOD, CLOTHING, HOUSING AND PROGRAMS FOR ONE CHILD FOR A YEAR (SINCE IT COSTS MUCH MORE THAN $360 TO PROVIDE FOR A CHILD AT WINGS OF HOPE, CHILDREN HAVE MULTIPLE SPON
