OUR STUDENTS ARE WELL PREPARED FOR THE RIGOR OF ATTENDING A TOP NYC HIGH SCHOOL.ADMISSIONSQUAD HOSTED HIGH SCHOOL ADMISSIONS WORKSHOPS BOTH IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL FOR ALMOST 1,000 FAMILIES TO HELP CLOSE THE INFORMATION GAP FOR FAMILIES IN SCHOOL DISTRICTS THAT HAVE A LOW POPULATION OF STUDENTS MATRICULATING INTO SELECTIVE NYC HIGH SCHOOLS. THESE WORKSHOPS HELPED TO SPREAD AWARENESS TO HIGH-NEED AREAS AND HELPED TO IDENTIFY STUDENTS WITH THE ACADEMIC POTENTIAL TO PLACE INTO AN ELITE HIGH SCHOOL.
EARLY START PROGRAM: ADMISSIONSQUAD RECRUITS STUDENTS FROM 5TH, 6TH OR 7TH GRADE TO PARTICIPATE IN A TEST PREPARATION PROGRAM THAT TAKES PLACE IN THE SPRING SEMESTER AND FALL SEMESTRE OF EACH YEAR. STUDENTS RECEIVE RIGOROUS TEST PREPARATION FOR THE ANNUAL STATE EXAM AND WILL GAIN EARLY EXPOSURE TO GRADE APPROPRIATE CONCEPTS THAT ARE TESTED ON THE SPECIALIZED HIGH SCHOOL ADMISSIONS TEST (SHSAT). PARENTS ALSO RECEIVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO ATTEND PARENTS WORKSHOPS THAT PROVIDE EARLY EXPOSURE TO THE TOP HIGH SCHOOL ADMISSIONS PROCESS.
