Part 3
THE CANAL MARKET DISTRICT AND ENTERPRISE HUB ("CMDEH") COMPLETED ITS SEVENTH YEAR OF PROGRAMMING IN 2022. WE AGAIN HOSTED A SEASONAL FARMERS MARKET FOR SIX MONTHS OUT OF THE YEAR (MAY-OCTOBER). WE PARTICIPATED IN THE PRODUCE PERKS PROGRAM ALL SEASON, WHICH ALLOWS SNAP RECIPIENTS TO RECEIVE UP TO $25 EXTRA PER DAY TO SPEND ON FRESH FRUITS AND VEGETABLES. BETWEEN SNAP REDEMPTIONS AND PRODUCE PERKS, WE DISTRIBUTED OVER $30,000 IN FOOD BENEFITS TO LOW-INCOME FAMILIES IN OUR AREA. EACH OF OUR MARKETS HOSTS 30+ VENDORS, SMALL BUSINESS PEOPLE WHO ARE DIRECTLY IMPACTED BY THE OPPORTUNITY TO SELL AT OUR VENUE. IN ADDITION, WE ALSO MANAGE THE CANAL MARKET PAVILION AND MAKE THE SPACE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC FOR EVENTS.
