ADDICTION POLICY FORUM'S CRISIS SERVICES PROVIDES RESOURCES AND PROGRAMS DIRECTLY TO PATIENTS AND CAREGIVERS. SERVICES INCLUDE A FREE HELPLINE STAFFED BY PEER SPECIALISTS AND SOCIAL WORKERS, DIGITAL THERAPEUTICS TO OFFER TELEHEALTH AND VIRTUAL RECOVERY SUPPORT, VIRTUAL RECOVERY MEETINGS, AND EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS AND TRAININGS SPECIFICALLY CREATED TO HELP PATIENTS AND FAMILIES IN NEED. THROUGH CRISIS SERVICES, ADDICTION POLICY FORUM HAS SUPPORTED 139,611 FAMILIES AND PATIENTS.
ADDICTION POLICY FORUM CREATED THE ADVANCING EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICE PROJECT TO TACKLE THE BARRIERS TO THE ADOPTION OF SCIENTICALLY PROVEN EVIDENCE AROUND THE PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS THROUGH TARGETED INTERVENTIONS. ADDICTION POLICY FORUM LAUNCHED THE ANTI-STIGMA INITIATIVE WHICH INCLUDES SCIENCE TRANSLATION, AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS, A STIGMA RESEARCH PORTFOLIO, DISTRIBUTION OF EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS AND TOOLKITS, COMMUNITY TRAININGS, AND DEPLOYMENT OF A FREE, ONLINE ADDICTION SCHOOL.
