ON-DEMAND COURSES: BECK INSTITUTE ONLINE TRAINING COURSES ARE DESIGNED TO EXPAND THE REACH OF OUR EXCELLENT TRAINING IN COGNITIVE BEHAVIOR THERAPY (CBT) BY MAKING THEM ACCESSIBLE TO A BROADER AUDIENCE. THROUGH THIS PROGRAM, HEALTH AND MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD LEARN EVIDENCE-BASED CBT FROM EXPERTS IN THE FIELD, WHEREBY EXTENDING ACCESS TO QUALITY MENTAL HEALTH CARE FOR THE INDIVIDUALS THAT THEY TREAT. 2021 COURSES INCLUDED ESSENTIALS OF CBT, PERSONALITY DISORDERS, DEPRESSION, AND CBT FOR ANXIETY, IN ADDITION TO A MINDFULNESS COURSE. WE ALSO INTRODUCED RECOVERY-ORIENTED COGNITIVE THERAPY FOR SERIOUS MENTAL HEALTH CONDITIONS. IN 2021, THERE WERE A TOTAL OF 4,627 COURSES TAKEN. THE TRAINEES WERE REPRESENTED FROM OVER 108 COUNTRIES.
TRAINING FOR ORGANIZATIONS: BECK INSTITUTE PROVIDES LECTURERS AND KEYNOTE SPEAKERS AROUND THE U.S. AND THE WORLD TO PRESENT WORKSHOPS ON LOCATION AT MENTAL HEALTH AND RELATED ORGANIZATIONS. SPEAKERS OFFER A WIDE RANGE OF COGNITIVE BEHAVIOR THERAPY (CBT) AND RECOVERY-ORIENTED COGNITIVE THERAPY (CT-R) TOPICS, FOCUSING ON THE PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF CBT AND CT-R INCLUDING TAILOR-MADE PROGRAMS (THAT MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO DIDACTIC PRESENTATIONS, MULTIMEDIA, DEMONSTRATIONS, AND ROLE-PLAYS) BASED ON THE NEEDS OF THE SPECIFIC ORGANIZATION REQUESTING TRAINING. IN 2021, BECK INSTITUTE PROVIDED APPROXIMATELY 200 DAYS OF TRAINING IN 23 STATES, AS WELL AS THE COUNTRIES OF CANADA, EGYPT, INDIA, JAPAN, RUSSIA, & TURKEY.
WORKSHOPS: VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS HELD AS WEBINARS PROVIDE TRAINEES WITH IN-PERSON INTENSIVE, DIDACTIC AND EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING IN COGNITIVE BEHAVIOR THERAPY AND RECOVERY-ORIENTED COGNITIVE THERAPY (CT-R) THROUGH THE USE OF LECTURE, DISCUSSION, ROLE-PLAY, MULTIMEDIA AND CASE CONFERENCE. IN 2021, A TOTAL OF 2,230 TRAINEES ATTENDED FROM FIFTY STATES AND ABOUT FORTY COUNTRIES.
CLINICAL PROGRAM: BECK INSTITUTE PROVIDES INDIVIDUALS, COUPLES, AND FAMILIES COGNITIVE BEHAVIOR THERAPY SERVICES ON AN OUTPATIENT BASIS TO ADULTS AND ADOLESCENTS, FOR A WIDE RANGE OF PSYCHIATRIC DISORDERS. IN 2021, BECK INSTITUTE TREATED 336 INDIVIDUALS AND CONDUCTED 2,978 PATIENT SESSIONS.RECOVERY-ORIENTED COGNITIVE THERAPY: THE MISSION OF THE BECK INSTITUTE CENTER FOR RECOVERY-ORIENTED COGNITIVE THERAPY (CT-R) IS TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF INDIVIDUALS WITH SERIOUS MENTAL HEALTH CONDITION DIAGNOSIS, ALONG WITH THEIR PROVIDERS AND FAMILIES. THE CENTER ENACTS RESEARCH, IMPLEMENTATION, AND ADVOCACY. ALL IMPLEMENTATIONS INVOLVE FOCUS GROUPS, WORKSHOPS, AND ONGOING CONSULTATION FOR A 6 TO 9 MONTH PERIOD.SUPERVISION AND CONSULTATION - IN 2021, APPROXIMATELY 80 MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIANS ENROLLED IN OUR SUPERVISION PROGRAM, WHICH PROVIDES ONE-ON-ONE GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT FROM EXPERT BECK INSTITUTE FACULTY. SUPERVISEES WERE FROM 12 DIFFERENT STATES, AS WELL AS 15 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES. WEIGHT MANAGEMENT PROGRAM - IN 2021, BECK INSTITUTE PROVIDED WEIGHT LOSS AND MAINTENANCE COUNSELING FOR 49 CLIENTS AND CONDUCTED 517 CLIENT SESSIONS. BECK INSTITUTE ALSO HELD SEVERAL VIRTUAL WEBINARS AND GROUP COACHING SESSIONS. IN 2021, BECK INSTITUTE HELD ITS FIFTH ANNUAL BECK EXCELLENCE SUMMIT. THE SUMMIT IS AN ANNUAL EVENT THAT GATHERS LEADERS IN THE FIELD OF COGNITIVE BEHAVIOR THERAPY FROM AROUND THE WORLD, PROVIDING ATTENDEES WITH A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN ABOUT THE MOST RECENT RESEARCH ON A VARIETY OF TOPICS, IN A SETTING CONDUCIVE TO DISCOVERY AND DIALOGUE.
