THE NEWSLETTERS APPEARED IN NINE LANGUAGES AND REACHED AN AUDIENCE OF NEARLY 25,000.WORKSHOPS, TRAINING AND MENTORSHIP - GIJN RAN ONLINE WORKSHOPS ON SUCH TOPICS AS INTERNET SEARCH SKILLS AND MEDIA BUSINESS MANAGEMENT. WITH OVER 1500 TIP SHEETS, VIDEOS AND REPORTING GUIDES, THE RESOURCE CENTER HAS BECOME FIRST-STOP SHOPPING FOR JOURNALISTS EMBARKING ON STORIES WORLDWIDE.HELP DESK - SINCE 2012, THE GIJN HELP DESK HAS RESPONDED TO NEARLY 13,000 REQUESTS FOR ASSISTANCE FROM AROUND THE WORLD. ANNUAL CONFERENCE: GLOBAL INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM CONFERENCE - DUE TO THE GLOBAL SPREAD OF COVID-19, GIJN DECIDED TO MOVE ITS GLOBAL INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM CONFERENCE (GIJC21) ONLINE TO PROTECT ITS STAFF, SPEAKERS AND ATTENDEES AGAINST THE ENDURING THREAT OF THE PANDEMIC. GIJN'S FIRST ALL-VIRTUAL GIJC21 BROUGHT TOGETHER 1,668 ATTENDEES FROM A RECORD 144 COUNTRIES. ATTENDEES JOINED 77 SESSIONS OVER FIVE DAYS ON A VARIETY OF TOPICS, AS WELL AS TARGETED NETWORKING SESSIONS. THE CONFERENCE ATTRACTED AN EXTRAORDINARY 109 MILLION TWITTER IMPRESSIONS, REACHING AN ESTIMATE OF 32 MILLION PEOPLE WORLDWIDE. THE 2020 ANNUAL CONFERENCE WAS CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19.
