DREAM SCHOLARS- OFFERS SCHOLARSHIPS TO TOP STUDENT ATHLETES ENTERING COLLEGE TO HELP WITH THE COST OF HIGHER EDUCATION. SUMMER OF DREAMS- A 6 WEEK CAMP DESIGNED TO BE THE PERFECT BLEND OF STEM EXPOSURE AND EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR BOYS AND GIRLS AGES 7-16.

DIBIA DREAM THROUGH THE DREAM ACADEMY SERVES OVER 700 STUDENTS IN ATLANTA, MIAMI AND NEW ORLEANS, AT COST TO THEIR FAMILIES. THROUGH THE DREAM ACADEMY, STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN ACADEMIC TUTORING, SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY , ENGINEERING , ARTS AND MATH (STEAM) PROJECTS, FIELD TRIPS, SPORTS AND HEALTH CLINICS. THE PROGRAM ACHIEVEMENTS IN 2021 WERE AS FOLLOWS: (1) 80% OF DREAM ACADEMY SCHOLARS IMPROVED IN LITERACY SKILLS BASED ON DYNAMIC INDICATORS OF BASIC EARLY LITERACY SKILLS(DIBELS) (2) 75% OF DREAM ACADEMY SCHOLARS DEMONSTRATED AN INCREASED ABILITY TO POSITIVELY HANDLE CONFLICT AS MEASURED BY REPORTS FROM PROGRAM STAFF, MENTORS AND CAREGIVERS AND PRE/POST SURVEYS.(3) 80% OF DREAM ACADEMY SCHOLARS REPORTED AN INCREASE IN ENGAGEMENT IN HEALTHY BEHAVIORS (PROPER NUTRITION AND EXERCISE) BY PARTICIPATING IN THE PROGRAM, AS MEASURED BY PRE AND POST ASSESSMENTS (4) 80% OF SCHOLARS ATTENDING STEM SATURDAY EVENTS REPORTED AN INCREASE IN AWARENESS OF THE STEM SUBJECT AREA BASED ON POST EVENTS SURVEY.
