WE PICK UP FOOD FROM VARIOUS BUSINESSES AND FARMERS MARKETS AND DELIVER IT TO NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THAT SERVE THE HOMELESS, SUCH AS: THE CENTER AT BLESSED SACRAMENT, MY FRIENDS PLACE, GOOD SHEPARD CENTER FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN, AND GREATER WEST HOLLYWOOD FOOD COALITION.
WE PARTICIPATE IN THE LOS ANGELES FOOD POLICY COUNCIL, WHICH IS A GROUP WORKING TO AFFECT POLICY AND TO HELP CREATE A MORE EQUITABLE AND SUSTAINABLE FOOD SYSTEM.
WE DO WORK TO IDENTIFY GAPS IN THE FOOD SYSTEM THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED IN ORDER TO INCREASE FOOD RECOVERY. WE DO THIS BY CREATING A DATA BASE OF ALL THE PLACES THAT CAN USE FOOD, AND BY WORKING ON OUTREACH AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS THAT WILL INCREASE FOOD RECOVERY.
