TO ACCOMPLISH OUR MISSION, DURING THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR, THE PTSO CONTINUED TO PROVIDE STAFF GRANTS TO SUPPORT CLASSROOM AND STUDENT ACTIVITIES. THIS SCHOOL YEAR, WE AWARDED $14,277 IN STAFF GRANTS. HOWEVER, DUE TO THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC, MANY OF THE ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED FOR THE SPRING SESSION WERE CANCELLED. AS A RESULT OF THE CANCELLATIONS, $9,863 WAS ACTUALLY SPENT FOR STAFF GRANTS, INCLUDING GRANTS FOR ANATOMY/PHYSIOLOGY LAB SUPPLIES, CODING SOFTWARE LICENSES, TRANSPORTATION TO A FILM FESTIVAL, HEALTH OFFICE SNACKS AND SUPPLIES, TRANSPORTATION FOR COLLEGE VISITS, BALLET BARRES, AND WORLD LANGUAGE DEPARTMENT BOOKS. PTSO ALSO PROVIDED SNACKS AND REFRESHMENTS FOR ACTIVITIES SUCH AS PRINCIPAL COFFEE CHATS, PARENT VISITATION DAY AND THE PEER MEDIATION TRAINING.DURING THE FALL AND WINTER SESSIONS, PTSO COORDINATED SAT PREP COURSES HELD ON OUR SCHOOL SITE. REGISTRATION FOR THE PREP COURSES WAS OPEN TO ANY STUDENT FROM OTHER SCHOOLS.ALTHOUGH THE SCHOOL YEAR WAS ABRUPTLY CURTAILED, PTSO CONTINUED TO SUPPORT OUR STUDENTS AND STAFF. DESPITE THE PANDEMIC, PTSO AWARDED $2000 IN SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS. ADDITIONALLY, PTSO SUPPORTED A DRIVE-THRU STAFF APPRECIATION LUNCH.WE WILL MAINTAIN OUR SERVICE TO OUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY WITH OPTIMISM AND RESILIENCE IN SPITE OF THE CURRENT DIFFICULT AND UNCERTAIN TIMES.
