THE PANTRY BY FEEDING HAWAII TOGETHER CONTINUED TO SERVE FRESH, DIVERSE, NUTRITIONAL FOOD TO HAWAII'S MOST VULNERABLE, DESPITE THE ONGOING COVID-19 PANDEMIC, SUPPLY CHAIN DISRUPTIONS, AND ESCALATING NEED. IN 2021, FHT DISTRIBUTED OVER 1.6 MILLION POUNDS OF FOOD TO OVER ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND INDIVIDUALS / THIRTY-FIVE THOUSAND FAMILIES. FHT HIRED AN OPERATIONS MANAGER AND VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR TO GROW THE ORGANIZATION, PURCHASED AND INSTALLED NEW SHELVING TO INCREASE OUR CAPACITY, PURCHASED A REFRIGERATED TRUCK TO ENABLE ADDITIONAL FOOD PICKUPS, AND PARTNERED WITH MULTIPLE LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS TO VOLUNTEER AT OUR WAREHOUSE.
