SHAKESPEARE ON THE GREEN- EACH SUMMER SEASON RUNS FOR ABOUT THREE WEEKS AND GENERALLY INCLUDES TWO PLAYS- TYPICALLY ONE TRAGEDY AND ONE COMEDY. THROUGH THIS CULTURAL EXPERIENCE, PARENTS CAN INTRODUCE THEIR CHILDREN TO THE POWER AND BEAUTY OF CLASSICAL THEATRE, PRODUCED BY A PROFESSIONAL COMPANY OF ARTISTS FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY. PEOPLE WHO ORDINARILY EITHER WOULD NOT OR COULD NOT ATTEND A SHAKESPEARE PLAY ARE ABLE TO DISCOVER THE UNIQUE AND LIFE-AFFIRMING QUALITIES THAT LIVE THEATER PROVIDES. IN ADDITION TO THE MAIN PERFORMANCE ARE EDUCATIONAL PRESHOW SEMINARS AND A GREEN SHOW ENTERTAINMENT FEATURING A JUGGLER AND LOCAL MUSICIANS, AND A "SHAKESPEARE" INTERACTIVE EDUCATIONAL TENT UTILIZING DONATED MATERIALS AND MANNED BY VOLUNTEERS WITH EDUCATIONAL EXPERTISE.
THE TOURING THEATER COMPANY HAS BEEN ABLE TO PROVIDE LIVE PERFORMANCES OF SHAKESPEARE'S WORKS TO MANY RURAL COMMUNITIES AND SCHOOLS WHERE ACCESS TO EDUCATIONAL PERFORMING ARTS IS LIMITED. THE TOUR INCLUDES PUBLIC AND COMMUNITY PERFORMANCES IN ADDITION TO PRIVATE PERFORMANCES FOR MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS.
