PRODUCTION MTCS ANNUAL PRODUCTION SEASON IS SELECTED TO ENSURE A BALANCE OF PROGRAMMING THAT CAN MEET THE NEEDS OF YOUNG PEOPLE AND FAMILIES IN OUR COMMUNITY, WITH A GROUNDING IN THE EDUCATIONAL, SOCIAL, AND EMOTIONAL LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE. ALL MTC PRODUCTIONS INTEGRATE INTO SCHOOL CURRICULUM THROUGH LEARNING GUIDES AND OTHER EDUCATOR RESOURCES. DURING THE 2021-2022 SEASON, MTC CONTINUED ITS COMMITTMENT TO DELIVERING THEATRICAL PROGRAMMING THROUGH BOTH LIVE AND VIRTUAL EXPERIENCES. EACH PRODUCTION WAS OFFERED IN BOTH FORMATS, ENABLING AUDIENCES FROM AS FAR AWAY AS AUSTRALIA AND JAPAN TO PURCHASE TICKETS TO VIEW PRODUCTIONS, ALONGSIDE CLASSROOMS TAKING VIRTUAL FIELD TRIPS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. EDUCATION A CORE COMPONENT OF MTCS MISSION IS GROUNDED IN DELIVERING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS THAT USE THEATER AS A TOOL TO TEACH YOUNG PEOPLE A RANGE OF OTHER CURRICULUM, AS WELL AS TO DEVELOP SOCIAL/EMOTIONAL LEARNING, DEEPEN SELF-EFFICACY, AND UNDERSTAND DIFFERENCE. CORE RESIDENCIES DURING FY22 INCLUDED A SOCIAL JUSTICE CURRICULAR RESIDENCY AT THE MAPLEWOOD RICHMOND HEIGHTS SCHOOL, AN EARLY LEARNING INTENSIVE AT FLANCE EARLY LEARNING CRENTER, A COP SCIENCE RESIDENCY WITH PERSHING ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, AMONG OTHERS.
