Part 3 - Line 4a
OPERATING THE MUSEUM - IN 2021 WE CONTINUED OUR SUCCESSFUL ONLINE PROGRAMMING PARALLEL TO A SOFT REOPENING OF THE MUSEUM FROM JULY OF 2021 FORWARD. WE OFFERED IMPORTANT REMOTE SERIES LIKE HIDDEN HISTORIES, ARTIST TALKS, AND OTHER ONLINE EVENTS. BEYOND OUR ONLINE PROGRAMMING, WE OPENED TWO EXHIBITIONS FOR DIANA LO MEI HING AND DEAN WONG WITH ASSOCIATED PROGRAMS FOR ARTIST OPENINGS AND TALKS. WE CELEBRATED OUR REOPENING IN AUGUST 2021 WITH LION DANCES AND A STREET FESTIVAL. DUE TO COVID, WE DID NOT HOST AS MANY COMMUNITY EVENTS AND/OR FESTIVALS. WE HAD TO MOVE SEVERAL EVENTS THAT WERE PLANNED FOR IN-PERSON TO 2022 OR TO THE ONLINE MODEL. EVEN WITH THESE CHALLENGES, WE HOSTED ONE-PANEL PRESENTATION A MONTH, SEVERAL ROUND TABLES AND/OR ARTISTS' TALKS, AND TWO ART EXHIBITIONS. [CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O.]ALL OF THESE ACTIVITIES SUPPORTED OUR MISSION STATEMENT TO PRESERVE THE PAST FOR THE PRESENT AND FUTURE. OUR VIRTUAL PRESENTATIONS IN 2021 HAD APPROXIMATELY 1000 ATTENDEES, AND OUR ON-SITE VISITS FROM MID-AUGUST REOPENING THROUGH THE END OF 2021 DREW ABOUT 300 VISITORS.HIDDEN HISTORIES SERIES VIRTUAL PROGRAM - PRESENT ORAL HISTORY OF THE PORTLAND CHINATOWN ACCORDING TO THE INDIVIDUAL PERSPECTIVE.THE GREAT LEAP ENHANCED STAGE READINGS - THE STORY OF A CHINESE BASKETBALL PLAYER.CHINATOWN LIVE!
