ALLENTOWN PROMISE NEIGHBORHOOD (APN): EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2015 THE ORGANIZATION ESTABLISHED INDEPENDENCE FROM THE UNITED WAY OF THE GREATER LEHIGH VALLEY, ACTING AS AN AUTONOMOUS NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION KNOWN AS PROMISE NEIGHBORHOODS OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY. APN ISSUED A NEIGHBORHOOD SURVEY TO THE ALLENTOWN AREA TO GAIN VALUABLE INPUT FROM RESIDENTS. APN ESTABLISHED MONTHLY COMMUNITY EVENTS WITH RESIDENTS TO DEVELOP POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS AND RECRUITED NEIGHBORHOOD RESIDENTS FOR ALLENTOWN SCHOOOL DISTRICTS'S BUILDING-21 HIGH SCHOOL.
