Part 3

THIS YEAR WE TOOK IN 125 ANIMALS. IN 2022 KENOSHA FORGOTTEN FRIENDS CONTINUED TO TAKE IN THE SPECIAL NEEDS OF ANIMALS THAT HAVE LARGE VETERINARY BILLS. WE TOOK IN 9 CASES THIS YEAR THAT INCLUDED BROKEN LEGS, HIP REPLACEMENTS, AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE, AND CONGENITAL DEFECTS. WE HAD 138 ADOPTIONS AND MANY MORE THROUGH OUR COURTESY POSTS. FOR OUR COURTESY POST ANIMALS, WE REQUIRE ADOPTION APPLICATIONS WHICH INCLUDE BACKGROUND CHECKS ON POTENTIAL ADOPTERS WHOM WE ALSO INTERVIEW FOR THE SURRENDERING OWNERS. WE OFFER THIS SERVICE FREE OF CHARGE TO HELP IN REHOMING THE ANIMAL TO A PROPER SAFE PLACE. WE HAVE ALSO EXPANDED OUR MEALSRPAWS PROGRAM WHICH HELPS PET PARENTS IN NEED. MONTHLY DELIVERIES ARE MADE TO SUPPLY FOOD TO THEIR DOORSTEP. WE HAVE ALSO EXPANDED INTO HELPING SOME WITH THE VETERINARY NEEDS OF THEIR CURRENT ANIMALS TO ALLOW PEOPLE TO KEEP THEIR OWN PETS AND NOT BE SURRENDERED. IN 2022 $7,965 WAS PAID OUT FOR THESE CASES. THIS YEAR WE TOOK IN $77238 IN DONATIONS OF WHICH $59432 WAS SPENT ON VETERINARY CARE. THE REMAINDER IS SPENT ON FOOD, LITTER, SUPPLIES AND MEDICATIONS. WE ARE STRICTLY VOLUNTEER, SO NO ONE HAS A SALARY AND MANY FOSTERS AND VOLUNTEERS DONATE NOT ONLY THEIR TIME BUT SUPPLIES.
