NMCAC'S CORE SERVICE IS TO PROVIDE A MULTIDISCIPLINARY RESPONSE TO CASES INVOLVING A CHILD VICTIM. A TYPICAL CASE MIGHT INVOLVE MULTIPLE LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES, STATE CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES, THE COURT(S), SCHOOL(S), MEDICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH PROVIDERS. NMCAC STRIVES TO ALIGN THESE PARTIES AND INTERESTS INTO A COMPREHENSIVE CHILD-FOCUSED PROCESS THAT ENSURES CHILDREN ARE GIVEN A PROPER INTERVIEW, ADVOCACY AND TREATMENT.

PROVIDED VICTIM ADVOCATE TO MEET WITH CAREGIVERS AT THE TIME OF INITIAL INTERVIEW AT THE CENTER AND PROVIDED SUPPORT, REFERRALS, FOLLOW UP SERVICES TO FAMILIES THROUGHOUT THE INVESTIGATIVE PROCESS. PROVIDED FORENSIC INTERVIEWING SERVICES INCONJUNCTION WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT AND CHILDREN'S PROTECTIVE SERVICES. PROVIDED THERAPY AND COUNSELING SERVICES TO CHILDREN WHO HAVE BEEN INTERVIEWED AT THE CENTER. PROVIDED NONINVASIVE MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS FOR CHILDREN WHO COME THROUGH THE CENTER.
