THE FREEDOM FOUNDATION SERVES MANY NEEDS OF ACTIVE DUTY, RESERVE AND HONORABLY DISCHARGED MILITARY VETERANS. WE PROVIDE A PLACE FOR VETERANS TO INTERACT WITH FELLOW VETERANS AND SHARE IN THE CAMARADERIE THAT THEY HAVE SHARED WHILE PROUDLY SERVING OUR COUNTRY. WE DILIGENTLY WORK WITHIN OUR ORGANIZATION AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS TO ASSIST VETERANS WITH LODGING, FOOD, TRANSPORTATION, FINANCIAL AND PHYSICAL/MENTAL MEDICAL ASSISTANCE. OUR CENTER PROVIDES A RESOURCE CENTER AND GUIDANCE TO NAVIGATE THE BEST PATH FOR OUR INDIVIDUALS' NEEDS. WE STRIVE TO CREATE CLOSE INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS, TRUST AND AN EMOTIONAL SAFETY NET WITH ALL OF OUR VETERANS.

VETERANS EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM: VETERANS RECEIVE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR RENT(S) DUE TO PREVENT EVICTION FROM THEIR DWELLING, HOME MORTGAGE PAYMENTS, DWELLING UTILITIES, EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORATION, AUTO REPAIRS, STORAGE RENTAL UNIT FEES, EMERGENCY TRANSPORTATION, SERVICE ANIMAL MEDICAL NEEDS, HOME REPAIRS, AUTO INSURANCE, AUTO LOAN PAYMENTS, TELEPHONE BILLS, AUTO RECOVERY, EMERGENCY CLOTHING (WINTER COAT) PURCHASES AND OTHER FINANCIAL NEEDS. DURING 2021, THIS PROGRAM PROVIDED EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE FOR MEDICAL, TRANSPORTATION, AND HOUSING NEEDS TO 95 VETERANS.
VETERANS FOOD PANTRY & LUNCH PROGRAM: VETERANS RECEIVE FOOD THROUGHOUT THE YEAR THROUGH MEALS SERVED AS WELL AS DELIVERY OF FOOD PANTRY ITEMS TO INDIVIDUALS THAT MAY HAVE MEDICAL OR MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES. DURING 2021, THE FOOD PANTRY PROGRAM SERVED 1,850 VETERANS MEALS THROUGH THE VETERAN'S LUNCH PROGRAM, 1,226 VETERANS RECEIVED GOODS FROM THE FOOD PANTRY.
MAX BETENBENDER MILITARY MUSEUM - DURING 2020 A MUSEUM WAS ESTABLISHED TO HIGHLIGHT ALL BRANCHES OF THE MILITARY AND ALL CONFLICTS FROM PAST UNTIL PRESENT. THE MUSEUM DISPLAYED UNIFORMS, MILITARY EQUIPMENT, PHOTOS, AND MORE. ADDITIONALLY IT ALSO INCLUDED A MILITARY LIBRARY, ALL OF WHICH WAS FREE TO THE PUBLIC TO VIEW. A RESTAURANT WITHIN THE MUSEUM WAS ESTABLISHED FOR REFRESHMENTS TO PATRONS OF THE MUSEUM.
VETERANS SHELTER PROGRAM: VETERANS ARE PROVIDED A HOTEL ROOM, A FREEDAILY BREAKFAST, FREE HAIRCUTS, TRANSPORTATION AND ACCESS TO CLOTHESWASHING AND DRYER MACHINES. VETERANS MUST BE ACTIVELY SEEKINGEMPLOYMENT IF UNEMPLOYED, ACTIVELY SEARCHING FOR PERMANENT HOUSING ANDATTEND ALL MEDICAL AND COUNSELING APPOINTMENTS. DURING 2021, 10 VETERANS RECEIVED ASSISTANCE IN THIS AREA.
