PHILO AND SOPHIE: PHILO AND SOPHIE IS OUR VIDEO-BASED, PRO-LIFE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM THAT TEACHES K - 3 GRADE CHILDREN TO CHERISH AND RESPECT THE DIGNITY OF ALL HUMAN LIFE. IN 2022, WE ACHIEVED 4,655 REGISTERED SUBSCRIBERS TO OUR PHILO AND SOPHIE WEB PORTAL, WHICH CONTAINS PRO-LIFE VIDEO SESSIONS, PARENT/TEACHER RESOURCES, AND TAKE-HOME TOOLS. SUBSCRIBERS INCLUDED 1,120 TEACHERS WHO ARE USING THE CONTENT IN CLASSROOMS AND 151 RELIGIOUS EDUCATORS. WE ALSO PARTNERED WITH FORMED.ORG TO CARRY THE VIDEOS ON THEIR STREAMING PLATFORM, AND WITH SALT+LIGHT TELEVISION IN CANADA TO BROADCAST THE VIDEOS ON THEIR STATION, ALLOWING US TO REACH SEVERAL MILLION HOUSEHOLDS WITH OUR EDUCATIONAL CONTENT FOR GRADES K - 3
GENERAL / ALL PROGRAMS: THESE ARE ACCOMPLISHMENTS THAT BENEFIT ALL OF THE MANY PROGRAMS OF HEALING THE CULTURE, RATHER THAN ANY ONE PROGRAM IN PARTICULAR. WE RAN AN EARNED MEDIA CAMPAIGN AND COMPLETED 49 INTERVIEWS ON TELEVISION, RADIO, PRINT, AND ONLINE PLATFORMS ACROSS THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA. WE BUILT NEW CORPORATE OFFICES IN RAPID CITY, SD AND BUILT A NEW, FULLY FUNCTIONAL FILM STUDIO FOR THE PRODUCTION OF OUR VARIOUS VIDEO RESOURCES, INCLUDING AN EDUCATIONAL VIDEO ON OUR TEN LIFE PRINCIPLES FOR THE PRO-LIFE PARTNERS FOUNDATION IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE SUPREME COURT'S DOBBS DECISION AND THE DEFEAT OF ROE VS. WADE, REACHING TENS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE. WE EXHIBITED AT FOUR CONFERENCES IN SOUTH DAKOTA, LOS ANGELES AND NAPA, AND HELD A FOUR-WEEK PRO-LIFE EDUCATION SERIES FOR 30 RELIGIOUS EDUCATORS. ALSO IN 2022, WE BEGAN WORK ON A NEW WEB PLATFORM.
RESPECT LIFE UNIVERSITY: RESPECT LIFE UNIVERSITY IS OUR ONLINE, PRO-LIFE VIDEO PLATFORM FOR TEENS AND ADULTS, WITH 5-MINUTE COURSES, ANIMATED FEATURES, 90-SECOND APOLOGETICS, FULL-LENGTH LECTURES, INTERVIEWS, DISCUSSIONS, AND MORE. IN 2022 WE IMPROVED OUR WEB PLATFORM AND PRODUCED THREE NEW VIDEO COURSES: "SHOULD ABORTION BE PERMITTED IN CASES OF RAPE AND INCEST?" (6 MINUTES); "IS STEM CELL RESEARCH ETHICAL?" (10 MINUTES); AND "FR. SPITZER TALKS ABOUT LOVE" (15 MINUTES). WE SCRIPTED, BETA-PRODUCED, AND BETA-TESTED 16 UNITES OF A NEW SERIES CALLED "TRUTH IN 90 SECONDS."
