THEIR PARTICIPATION IN MEANINGFUL ACTIVITIES RAISES AWARENESS WITHIN COMMUNITY SETTINGS AND HIGHLIGHTS THEIR VALUE AS DISTINCTIVE HUMAN BEINGS WHILE ENCOURAGING THE DEVELOPMENT OF INTERDEPENDENCE BETWEEN INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE DISABLED AND THOSE WHO ARE NOT.
